PLACEMAKING IN SRINAGAR CITY

Oasis Designs Inc is proud to have been appointed by the Srinagar Smart City to undertake the upgradation of the most important areas in the city that include:

• The Jehangir Chowk entry point into Srinagar and a busy intersection
• The Public space around the city’s main CBD – the Lal-chowk area
• The Lake-lagoons of Barari-Nambal – the blue-green connection between the scenic Dal Lake and the Jhelum River

 These city-level urban improvement projects aim to transform the city’s main areas to kick-start a city-wide urban renewal. Focusing on streetscape design and placemaking and ecology, all the projects shall help fix problems of traffic, pedestrian movement, stormwater, and pollution – to help create a better more liveable, vibrant, and environmentally resilient city.
